Hey, I have created this guide as it’s an issue I have ran into myself and have seen a few posts about it over on the OpenWRT forums.
I decided I would release this Lua script for anyone who wants it, and has a Logitech G series keyboard with macro keys.
Linux and UNIX file permissions are possibly one of the hardest things for a beginner to understand, so here in this post I am going to try and make you understand them! It will cover using chmod correctly as well as show you how to understand the permission strings and chmod’s number system.
This guide will hopefully help you setup passwordless authentication using public-key encryption to access your CentOS server, possibly works on other distros too but I haven’t tested them as I don’t use them on a regular basis.
I wanted to create this guide to point out some of the issues I ran into when doing this task on my own servers, for documentation incase I ever need to do it again, and to help out anyone else who stumbles across my posts!
